Black Mirror: Bandersnatch was not what I was expecting. It has more references and complexity than I figured. However, The Verge makes a compelling case that Netflix will serve up more such interactive fair in the future due to the data they can collect from users choices.

I was disappointed to read this article in stuff.co.nz about seclusion practices in children’s mental health in Christchurch. The article focuses more on condemnation rather than finding better solutions. The subtext being that child mental health workers don’t know any better.

Another reason to listen to and consider different perspectives to our own. New research indicates when we hear an opinion we agree with, our brain processes it in the same way as hearing a fact. Our brains are also more likely to view a differing opinion as incorrect. Damn.
