We’ve all heard someone say that ‘teaching is the best way to learn’. Now research has shown that while teaching does aid with learning, it works best without study-aids as the beneficial effects are likely attributable to the action of retrieving learning from memory.

Until now I have never had reason to revisit an assumption instilled in me in Primary school… That the RMS Titanic was the largest passenger ship ever built. Today I learned I need to append that statement with ‘at the time’. Guess I’m at Stage Two of my learning now.
